PROGRESSING BALLET TECHNIQUE
& POINTE CONDITIONING

Conditioning for Ballet Dancers

A class for ballet dancers looking to progress their training further. Each week offers something different; building strength in all the right places, educating dancers on why and how is of paramount importance.

This class will enhance the dancers classical lines, elevation, stability and movement quality. This is also the class that leads budding ballet dancers into pointe shoes.

Dancers need to be strong enough to weight bare their entire body onto their toes when en pointe. This takes time, training and dedication. There is no fast track to being safe and secure. Every child is different and this needs to be taken into consideration. This class will teach children everything they need before, during, and after their first pair of pointe shoes. Welcoming all abilities to train together in a new and refreshing way.

Students can join from age 9 (Grade 3 ballet as a guide), however, this must be arranged and agreed with Miss Emilie first.

- Please note: joining a PBT class does not require pointe shoes. Eminence Dance Academy's ballerinas will need to pass the 'Pointe Readiness Exam' before their first pair of shoes.
