BALLET

Royal Academy of Dance

Lead Teacher: Miss Emilie RTS : RAD CBTS

Senior Ballet Teacher: Miss Caroline

EDA take ballet students from 3 years old. However, it is never too late to start as we have adult lessons and Silver Swans classes are aimed at senior dancers (50+).

Our qualified teachers are committed to giving each student individual attention, with detailed, educated support, through safe dance practice. Nothing is fast tracked or rushed. Offering classes from preparatory levels, leading all the way to vocational training for pre-professional training.

Exams can be taken from Primary through to Advanced 2.

Eminence Dance Academy follow the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D) syllabus in ballet.

World recognised OFQUAL qualifications & offering classical ballet training at its best.

Along side the R.A.D. we work with the Australian Progressing Ballet Technique programme (PBT).

☆

Our dancers train in anatomy and dance theory alongside correct technical ballet standards.

We work with student centred learning, creating intelligent dancers with beautiful lines and placement.

A solid foundation is essential to the future longevity of any dancer.

The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus is renowned world wide for its impeccable ballet training standards. The incredibly high standards make the ballet examination boards respected globally. Examinations, both graded and vocational, are part of the QCA accredited qualifications. These count towards UCAS points when applying for higher education.

☆

Students who wish to take the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D) exam must be dancing at least 1.5 hours (2 classes) of ballet a week in the lead up the examinations, as a minimum requirement, to meet the standard.

Although the Royal Academy of Dance ballet standard is advised at Eminence Dance Academy, for those students who do not wish to take an official R.A.D examination, there is an option to present an EDA class exam. Regardless of which examination is taken, all EDA students will work towards the same standards before progressing on to the next level.
